Edna F. Ball 86 of Independence died following a short illness, Friday April 15, 2005 at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo.
Edna was born on October 2, 1918 near Walker the daughter of Charley and Carrie (Zimpher) Arnold. She graduated from the Walker High School and married Bernard D. Ball on June 30, 1940 near Walker. The couple farmed in the Winthrop area and Edna was employed as a cook with the East Buchanan Schools prior to her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard in 1982 and two sisters, Laura Morris, Genevieve Ague and three brothers, Vernon, Loren and Willard Arnold.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hope Wesleyan Church in Independence. Burial was in the Quasqueton Cemetery, Quasqueton.
Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory of Independence was in charge of the arrangements.
