Geniel Kimber Arnold was born October 24, 1923, in Provo, Utah, the first child born to John Martin Kimber and Mary Lauretta Yancey Kimber. She spent her childhood at 671 E 5th N, Provo, Utah. She attended Provo schools until she married Paul Smythe Arnold on February 6, 1942, which was her senior year; she graduated from high school that spring in Pocatello, Idaho, where Paul's job had taken them.
After her marriage she lived in American Fork (Utah), New York City, and Denver, where she was when she became ill with multiple sclerosis.
She and Paul were the parents of Martin Frank (b.1943), Melvin K. (b.1944), Paulette (b.1953), and Sheila Mae (b.1954).
She died due to multiple sclerosis at Eldred Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Provo, Utah, where she had resided for approximately two years due to her illness.
