Judith Elizabeth Crutcher of Kingwood, Texas was born in Camden, Texas, December 13, 1939, to Earl George (Buddie) Arnold and Jackie (Baker) Arnold and passed away July 3, 2011 after a hard fought battle against Multiple Myeloma. She was raised in Groves, Texas. Judi graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School in 1958 and Port Arthur Business School in 1959. She began her career with Gulf Oil in 1959 holding several positions including Supervisor of the Lab before transferring to Houston in 1981. In 1986 Gulf Oil merged with Chevron where Judi remained until her retirement in 1990.
Judi was preceded in death by her father, Buddie Arnold; grandson, Jason Lynn Williams and best friends Neva Laird Lindsay and Joy Hughes Steele.
Judi is survived by her husband, Tom Crutcher of Kingwood; mother, Jackie Arnold of Groves; son, Jeff Williams and wife Lori of Manvel; daughter, Jana Beth Williams of Houston; grandchildren, Ryan Williams and fiancé Meisha Patterson of Kingwood, Ashleigh Williams of Oxford, Mississippi, Trevor Williams and fiancé Stephanie Ogilvie of Anchorage, Alaska, and their mother DeRinda Bass Williams, Braeden Williams and Kailyn McIlhone of Manvel; great-grandsons, Jason and Reece Williams of New Caney and their mother Amanda Williams; sisters, June Arnold of Groves and Gwen Rozelle and husband Terry of Port Neches; nephew Chad Rozelle of The Woodlands; niece Leigh Rozelle of Houston.
Judi is also survived by best friends, Pat Nicks Sheppard, Patricia Hebert Williams, Brenda Devenzio LaBorde, all of Groves, Texas; Lillie Humphrey Duhon and Lelia Guidry Johnson of Port Neches, Texas; Carolyn Eaves Daul of Beaumont, Texas; Katy Newsome Smith of Coldsprings, Texas; Sherry Moore Lewis of Woodville, Alabama; Angie Gidley of Bluebell, Pennsylvania; Anita Bennett, Patricia Cugini, Bonnie Kluborg and Gloria Pickett all of Kingwood, Texas.
Pallbearers are Eugene Arnold, Ken Lindsay, Jerry Pickett, Larry Eaves, Narwin Johnson and Loren Bennett.
Judi was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Judi's loving and kind nature was always a shining light to anyone who ever had the privilege of meeting her and knowing her. She was a remarkable woman who brought so much happiness and joy to the world and will be sorely missed by all. She was a member of the Groves Port Arthur #953 Order of Eastern Star.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Kingwood Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Kingwood Funeral Home with a visitation being held one hour prior. The services will be officiated by Charles Miller of First Baptist Church of Groves, Texas and Ray Lovett of Beaumont, Texas. Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Porter.
The family would like to recognize the exceptional medical care and compassion given by the staff of Methodist Hospital, Odyssey Hospice and her Oncologist, Dr. Luis Campos and his staff.
