Donna L. Bodine, 69 of DeSoto, KS died April 30, 2011. Visitation Monday, May 2, 6-9pm at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave., DeSoto, KS. Service May 3, at 2pm at DeSoto Baptist Church, 8655 Church St., DeSoto, KS. Memorial Contributions: in Lieu of flowers donations to the DeSoto Multi Service Center, 32905 W. 84th St., DeSoto, KS, 66018 or Catholic Community Hospice, 9740 W. 84th St., Overland Park, KS 66212.
Donna was born June 7, 1941 in Manhattan, KS. Donna graduated from Hiawatha High School in 1959. She married Louis K. Bodine in 1968. She and Bo ran "Bodine's Liquor" in DeSoto for 13 years and then worked at Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant for 18 years. Her favorite job was for Johnson County (KS) Mental Health for Deaf Services. She loved volunteering.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Beulah Arnold.
Survivors: Louis "Bo" Bodine of the Home. Son John "Skip" Bodine, wife Andrea Bodine and Step-Granddaughter Camila of Lexington, SC., Sisters Dianne (Ed) Coons of Hutchison, KS, Dee (Ron) Sellner of Portland, OR. Brothers Rolland (Jean) Arnold of Tucson, AZ, Roger Arnold of New Orleans, LA, and many nieces and nephews.
