Barbara Ann Arnold Manning Smith, 64, died Sunday, November 18, 2007 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Having lived her life in Lawrence County, she held a bachelor's degree in art, was a retired art and math teacher at Walnut Ridge High School, and was the owner of Village Antiques and Gifts. She was a member of Main Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake Arnold Sr. and Mildred Escue Williams; and brother, Jake Arnold Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Monroe Smith of the home; her stepfather, Harry Darnell Williams of Hoxie; daughter, Danetta Manning Townsdin and husband Steve of Memphis; stepsons, David Monroe Smith and wife Jennifer of Jonesboro and Charles Benton Smith and wife Leigh of Walnut Ridge; and grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Kyle Smith, James Townsdin, Morgan Smith and Joel Townsdin.
Funeral services wer held in House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge with Rob Combs officiating. Burial was in Strangers Home Cemetery near Alicia.
