Deanna F. (Thoman) Arnold, 71, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, at York Hospital after a courageous battle of an illness. She was the partner of Vicki Wahl.
Deanna was born January 22, 1941, in York, the daughter of the late Leander and Beatrice (Mummert) Thoman.
She worked for the former El-GE Potato Chip Company in York for 20 years and later retired from American Products in York after 5 years of service to the company. Deanna enjoyed life to the fullest, treated everyone as they were family and was fun loving to all who passed through her life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her partner, Vicki, Deanna is survived by two daughters, Ruthann Hamme of Dallastown, Julie Spahr and husband, Brian of Punta Gorda, Fla.; her son, Ronald Attig and his wife, Gwen of Wrightsville; six step children; two grandsons, Jason Attig, Dakota Spahr; two step-granddaughters; and her two sisters, Darlene Thoman of Manchester, Linda Thoman and her partner, Sue Dearden of Baltimore, Md.; and her niece, Hanna Christianson. Deanna was preceded in death by a son, Donald Attig; her sister, Sylvia Thoman; and her brother, Richard Thoman, Sr.
A service of celebration will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 S. Main St., Mount Wolf. Viewing will be from 9 to 11 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be private in Mount Rose Cemetery.
