*There are some records that say Catherine's maiden name was Catharina Christ or Crist. Catherine's replacement stone at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery has her maiden name recorded as Kuehne. St. Mary's record books have her father's name recorded as "Stephan Kuhni" on her death record. Her maiden name also appears elsewhere in the St. Mary's records, as in the birth records of her children, as a spelling variation of Kuehne.

One was an Xavier Arnold, Sr., born in 1817 in Switzerland. He and was most likely a related to Catherine's husband. Xavier Arnold, Sr. had a son named Xavier, Jr. who was born in Calhoun County in 1867.
