William Blundell was the son of James and Mary (Blundell) Arnold. They moved from South Carolina to Tennessee, and from Tennessee to Texas, where they settled in Johnson County.
He married Mary Fryer on January 22, 1824 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Their children are Miranda Amanda, Oliver Perry, Cynthia Jane Francis Marion, Absolum Mitcham, Sarah Frances (Puss) who died at age two in Missouri, and an unknown infant.
