Felix Arnall worked in the mines then for the Frisco Railroad, becoming a section foreman. While employed by the railroad he invented a railroad safety switch. A lack of funds caused him to form a partnership in order to obtain a patent. The death of the partner caused a loss of the patent, but the switch was widely used.
Felix got his nickname "Cap" because he was a captain in the group "The Woodmen of the World." This group met each Monday night in Granby and drilled with swords and axes. Felix was a member of the group in the years 1913 - 1919.
In 1912 - 1914 Felix played the position of pitcher on the Granby Cardinals Baseball Team.
Serving the Lord was always in Felix's life. He was a Sunday School Superintendent and later began preaching. He first held services in various homes before establishing his own church. In 1943, Rev. Felix Arnall organized the Silver Moon Full Gospel Church. It is located three miles south of Diamond, MO. on 71A Highway which is now Highway 59. Because of ill health Rev. Arnall resigned his position and Fred Franks became pastor in 1952. Rev. Fred Franks still holds this position in 2005.
