Anastasia "Teddy" Armstrong, age 99, of Shelton, formerly of Ansonia, died Tuesday, August 8, 2006. She was born in Ansonia, on July 1, 1907, daughter of the late William and Mary Wasilcouch Taras. She worked for Gan's Hardware Store in Ansonia. She was a lifelong member of The Three Saints Orthodox Church of Ansonia. She is survived by two neices, Sandra Fainer of Ansonia and Joan Novarro of Clinton; and several grand neices and grand nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Olga Barbash and Margaret Serebrennikoff; a brother, Walter Taras; and nephew, Walter Barbash. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 10 a.m. with friends asked to go directly to The Three Saints Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Ave. Ansonia. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. There are no calling hours. The Jenkins-King Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, is entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
