Adam James Armstrong passed away on May 28, 2011 while serving his country in Germany.
Adam will always be remembered for his witty jokes, laughter, and his unmeasured caring for those he loved and held close to his heart. He always knew when you needed a hug and more than one person would agree that he gave the best Mushi hugs.
Adam graduated from Spanish Fork High School where he learned and loved to speak and write fluent Japanese, and where he met and held close many friends and the love of his life, Gina Buckwalter. In Adam's eyes their wedding was not happening soon enough, and he could not wait to start his life with her.
Adam joined the Army while in his last year of high school with the help of a man that he admired and looked up to, Sgt. Parks. He did his basic training in Fort Sill, Oklahoma and trained for his job as an Apache helicopter mechanic during AIT in Fort Eustis, Virginia. After AIT, his permanent duty station was in Katterbach, Germany.
Adam is survived by his Mom and Dad, sister, aunts, uncles, Grandmas and Grandpas, tons of cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Trails Ward Chapel, 452 West 550 South, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call on Friday evening, June 10, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork or on Saturday morning prior to the services from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
