Salt Lake City - Funeral services for Albert Bird Armstrong Jr., 72, of 472 E. 8th Ave., Salt Lake City, who was dead on arrival at a Salt Lake City hospital Monday, were held today in the Ensign Second Ward Chapel.
He was the brother of Anthon G. Armstrong, Provo.
Mr. Armstrong was born May 30, 1900 in Salt Lake City to Albert Bird and Priscilla Elizabeth Jordan Armstrong. He married Vera Leona Belliston on August 7, 1927 in Salt Lake City and the marriage was solemnized later in the Salt Lake Temple. She died on March 10, 1969.
For 32 years he was an engineer for the Bamburger Interurban Railroad; and for another six years for Union Pacific Railroad.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Albert Thomas Armstrong, Melvin Belliston Armstrong and Mrs. Keith (Dalene) Baxter, all of Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Anthon G. Armstrong, Provo; Dawson G. Armstrong, Portland, Ore., and Mary Milligan and Patricia Milligan, both of Salt Lake City.
Burial was in Redwood Memorial Estates.

ARMSTRONG - Funeral services for Albert Bird Armstrong Jr. will be held Thursday 12 o'clock noon in the Ensign 2nd Ward Chapel, 9th Avenue and D streets. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. Friends may call at the Deseret Mortuary, 36 E. 7th South on Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward on Thursday one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Armstrong surname genealogical organization. Funeral directors, Deseret Mortuary.
