She was born March 11, 1923, to Essie (Les) and Hattie “McKinney” Armstrong in the township of Broad River, S.C.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Saturday, United House of Prayer for all People
INTERMENT: Armstrong Memorial Park
VISITATION: Noon-2 p.m. Saturday at the church
SURVIVORS: Children, Leroy Bratton of Gastonia, N.C., Lilly Walker of Silver Springs, Md., Blanche Crosby and Jerome Rhodes of Dallas, N.C.; sister, Mrs. Eula Anderson of Dallas, N.C.; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lottie Smith, Gladys Rhodes and Mrs. Ellen Pettis of Gastonia, N.C.; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews; a host of other relatives and friends
