Burial services were held here at Waverly East Cemetery on Monday, October 10, for Mrs. Earl Armstrong who passed away October 8 at Alton.
Willa Mae Eden was born July 22, 1897. On January 14, 1920, she was married to Earl Armstrong who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Homer of San Antonio, Texas; Carl of Alton and Earl, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Albert Eden of Athens, Ernest Eden of Athens, and John Eden of Mt. Sterling, Ky., also six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Smith Funeral Home in Alton with Rev. Charles H. Collison officiating.
Pallbearers were: Bill Armstrong of Moline, Olin Stubblefield and Ernest Henderson of Waverly, Charles Eden, Gene Eden and Albert Eden of Athens.
Rev. Collison, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Alton, also officiated at the graveside rites in Waverly.
