Virginia (Beadle) Armstrong, 61, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and formerly of Galena, died February 2, 1988, at Fort Dodge.
Born March 24, 1926, in Galena, she was the daughter of William and Wilamina (Heller) Beadle. She married Leroy "Sam" Armstrong on Oct. 25, 1952, in Galena.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Lynn Holman and Mrs. Jeff (Jan) Wall of Fort Dodge; three sons, Mark of Galena, and Allen and Jeff of Fort Dodge; six grandchildren; six sisters, Florence Bautsch, Mrs. Boise (Frances) Murphy, Vera Wienan and Joanne Foecking of Galena, Catherine Seeyle of Harvard and Lucille Risboldt of Michigan City, Ind.; and one brother, Patrick "Pat" Beadle of Galena.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Ronald, on Nov. 26, 1981.
Services were held Feb. 5 at 1pm at St. Michael's Church with Monsignor Raymond Wahl officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Casket bearers were Gerald Petitgoue, David Foecking, Randy Beadle, Keith Seeyle, Wayne Wienan, and Kenny Bautsch. The Furlong Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
