HORTON, Kan. -- Genevieve K. (Schuetz) Armstrong, Horton, died March 15, 2001, at a hospital in Lawrence, Kansas. Mrs. Armstrong was a homemaker and a member of the St. Leo's Catholic Church, Horton. She was born on September 9, 1915, in Mercier, Kansas. She was married to Charles W. Armstrong in Mercier on July 31, 1935. He died in 1992. Mrs. Armstrong also was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Josephine Schuetz; a daughter, Mary Jo; three brothers, Harland, Raymond and Leon; a sister, Lillian Williams.
Survivors were two sons, Donald and Ronald of Horton; four daughters, Delores Coty and Betty Kniesel of Manhattan, Kansas, Barbara Freed of Lawrence, and Nancy Meinecke of Omaha, Nebraska; two brothers, Clement of Atascadero, California, and Lloyd of Horton; a sister, Rita Winkelbauer of Horton; 21 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Burial in St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery, Horton.
