Funeral services for Thelma Marie (Armstrong) Conley, 40 of 4520 West Ridge Road, Gary, will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. from the Kuiper Funeral Home, Highland, with the Rev. Johnny Colsten officiating.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wright Armstrong of Boone Grove, Ind., she was married to Jack Conley, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Kathi, and three sister, Mrs. Bud (Betty) Taggert of Gary; Mrs. Neva Hubbeling and Mrs. Jessie (Fatina) Collins of Wheatfield; and three brothers Evert Armstong of Rensselaer, Bazil of Boone Grove and Duane of Wheatfield.
Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Rensselaer.

Wheatfield Resident Dies
Wright (Sam) Armstong, 72, of Wheatfield, passed away suddenly at 2:00 p.m. Thursday. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Born in Kniman on April 13, 1900, he was a son of Charles H. and Mary Elizabeth (Leward) Armstong. He was married to Jeere Blay Odle on July 6, 1920 in Valparaiso. She passed away on May 11, 1972.
A lifetime resident of the county, he attended area schools. He was a retired farmer and laborer, and a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Everett of Rensslaer, Basil of Hebron and Duane of Wheatfield, three daughters, Mrs. Bud (Betty) Taggart of Gary and Mrs. Neva Hubbeling and Mrs. Jesse (Fatima) Collins, both of Wheatfield, 17 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one sister, Miss Maude Armstong of DeMotte. She was pceceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and one sister.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Rensselaer.
