Born in Sayreville, she resided in South River for many years before moving to East Brunswick in 2011. She was a Legal Secretary for 15 years having worked for several prominent lawyers and also was an Executive Secretary at Rutgers University for 20 years, having retired from the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame at Rutgers University.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sayreville, where she had served on the Session, was a Sunday School Teacher, sang in the church choir, was a Deaconess, and served on many committees.She was a member of the Raritan #58 Order of the Eastern Star of New Jersey, a member of the Red Hats, and a Member of Bally Total Fitness where she swam and exercised five days a week for approximately 29 years.
Dorothy and her late husband Fred A. Armstrong both loved to travel and were world travelers.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her dear parents, Walter and Theresa Krafft Connett; and her three sisters and their husbands, Edith Sass, Gertrude Grover and Erma Damdino.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
