New Market - Mrs. Winnie A. Hinkle, 86, native and lifelong resident of Montgomery County, died at her home in New Market, Tuesday morning, after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Hinkle was born March 3, 1869, the daughter of Henry C. and Mary J. Armstrong. She was married Nov. 6, 1889, to James W. Hinkle of Montgomery County. Their marriage ceremony was solemnized in the residence of Rev. Barnhill in Crawfordsville. Last Nov. 6, they reached their 66th wedding anniversary which they observed quietly at their New Market home. Mrs. Hinkle, a member of the New Market Christian Church, had long been active in the work of the church. She also held membership in the Royal Neighbors. Surviving are her husband: half-sister, Mrs. J.W. VanCleave of New Market, and several nephews and nieces. Rev. Calvin Miller will be the officiating minister at the funeral services to be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home in New Market, with burial in the Masonic Cemetery in Crawfordsville.
