The following death notice appeared in the Portage Register-Democrat, Portage, Wisconsin, on October 28, 1931:
"Burial Service for Madison Woman Held from Ingle's
"Funeral services for Mrs. Belle Armstrong Hunnell, 72, who died at a Madison hospital Monday morning, were held this morning from the Ingle funeral home. The Rev. J. E. Cooke of the M. E. church officiated.
"Mrs. Hunnell was laid to rest in the family lot in Silver Lake cemetery, beside the remains of her daughter, Mrs. Ted Lindgren, who will be remembered as an active worker in the Methodist church here, and those of her husband, who is also buried here.
"Attending the funeral services were Mrs. Nathalie Scribner, Merrill, a daughter, and a grandson, Marvin Lindgren of Watertown."
