Roger D. Arms passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009, after a courageous five year battle with cancer. Roger was born June 5, 1943, to Hubert and Hazel Arms. Roger worked for OG&E for 32 years until his retirement, then worked for Deaconess Surgery Center until his death. Roger was a longtime member of New Covenant Christian Church where he served as Deacon Leader and other capacities for many years.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Hazel Arms.

Roger is survived by his wife Ruth E. Arms of the home; daughter Dena Garrett & husband George; grandchildren Jordan White and Brittany Lasey of Dunnsville, Kentucky; step-children Randy Berry and wife Nancy of Oklahoma City, Denise Stump and husband Clyde of Oklahoma City; step-grandchildren Corrinne Ide and husband Mitch of Oklahoma City, Trisha Gilpin and husband Jason of Yukon, Jacob Berry and wife Vanessa of Clarksville, Tennessee, Cody Berry of Oklahoma City, Cassandra and Christopher Harjo of Oklahoma City; and step-great granddaughter Kacey Gilpin of Yukon.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 24, 2009, at 6:00PM. The family requests that any donations be sent to Oklahoma County Hospice.
