Dorothy F. (Warren) Armes
Dorothy F. (Warren) Armes, 77, died Sunday, July 27, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital Beech Grove. She was a resident of Greenwood and a former resident of Gosport.
She was born Jan. 26, 1926, in Washington, Ind. Her parents were Frank and Clara Warren. She married Clarence E. Armes on Feb. 14, 1948, in Washington, Ind. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, John E. Armes of Bargersville and Frank D. Armes of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Brown and Mary Warren; and two brothers, Leo and Kenneth Warren.
She was a graduate of Washington High School in Washington, Ind.
She was employed by State of Indiana Employment Security Division as a cashier's section supervisor for 25 years, retiring in 1983.
She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.
The Rev. Nick Robertson will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave. in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Bluff Creek Cemetery in White River Township.
