Rose Marie Armenta, 91, a lifetime Puebloan, passed away March 7, 2019, peacefully with her family surrounding her.

She was born Sept. 4, 1926, to proud parents, Joseph and Antonia (Shurla) Zupancic, both preceded her in death; along with her loving husband, Richard Armenta; sons-in-law, James Belcher, Jose N. Ortiz, Charles Carrington, Jess Medina, John Esquibel; grandsons, Samuel Lopez, Mathew Montez, Phillip Benjamin Armenta.

Rose was a great cook, she enjoyed telling the children; and calling each of them a different name until she got the right name. She enjoyed bumming to the stores. But most of all, she loved being with her children and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Martha F. Belcher, Frances M. Ortiz, Kathleen L. Armenta, Mary Connie Armenta, Patricia A. Solis, Veronica Y. (Eloy) Gutierrez, Richard R. (Cheri) Armenta, Timothy F. Armenta, Joseph P. (Zoie) Armenta, Antonia R. Armenta; sister-in-law, Caroline Sandoval; 29 grandchildren, 60 great-grand-children, 13 great-great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Rosary, 6 p.m today; Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Monday, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.

Family will receive friends at the Zaragoza Hall following the funeral.
