Armenta was Killed in Action from multiple fragmentation wounds. He was a member of Company G, 7th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, His name is on Panel O-5, Line 98 of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC.

FAG member #47235247 advises Armenta was single and survived by a son and his parents.

He was born in Cananea, Mexico. His parents came to CA when he was still a boy.

He enlisted in the Marines 12 February 1964, at the Los Angeles Recruiting Office.

He died during combat in the vicinity of Chau Ngai(4)10 kilomters south southwest of Binh Son while participating in Operation Utah.
