Mildred Cogley age 87 of Grinnell, Iowa died at the Mayflower Community Health Care Center. Burial in the Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

Mildred Arment was the daughter of Myrtle R and Blanche I Wood Arment. She was raised in Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1945.

She was married to Donald J Cogley on June 21, 1945 in Grinnell. They continued to live in Grinnell. To this union one daughter was born; Shirley.

In 1955 she began her career at GTE as an accounting clerk. She retired in 1983 after 28 years with the company.

Milly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends, tending to her flower garden, playing cards, and for many years bowling, where she was active in local bowling leagues.

Breakfast at her home was a delight for family members. She was often inquisitive and not afraid to ask questions, but most times she held on to her opinions and this was a trait that formed her character. Her favorite TV programs were Dr Oz and Oprah.
