Antonio M. Armendariz Jr., age 74, of Kermit went to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 09, 2006. He was born on Saturday, July 11, 1931 in El Mulato, Ojinaga, Mexico to Antonio and Petra Montoya Armendariz. Antonio was a long-time resident of Kermit where he worked in construction and as a crane operator.
He is survived by his wife: Guadalupe Armendariz of Kermit; three sons: Jose Antonio Armendariz of Odessa, Armando Armendariz of Kermit, Sabino Armendariz of Odessa; six daughters: Noelia Valenzuela of Midland, Silvia Porras of Ojinaga, Mexico; Elvia Chavez of Kermit; Leonila Gallardo of Kermit; Yesenia A. Ortiz of Kermit; Cindy Armendariz of Odessa; one brother: Demetrio Armendariz of Fort Worth; two sisters: Rufina Lujan of Andrews; Gloria Grado of Lake Arthur, New Mexico; twenty-four grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Preceding Antonio in death were two daughters: Arcilia and Arcelia; one brother: Arcadio Armendariz; four sisters: Maria Pedraza; Lupe Ramos; Isabel Heredia; Josefa Morales.
Rosary was held at Family Services Funeral Chapel, at 7:00 pm, Friday, March 10, 2006 with Nacho Villa officiating. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 11, 2006 with Father Rudy Lacerna as Celebrant and Nacho Villa as Deacon.
Pallbearers include Irvin Armendariz, Milo Valenzuela, Armando Porras, Jr., Eddie Armendariz, Adiel Armendariz, Tony Lares, Eduardo Gallardo, and Oscar Ortiz, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers include Jose Antonio Armendariz, Armando Armendariz, and Sabino Armendariz. Arrangements were entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor of Kermit
