Services for Lois Arledge were held Thursday, April 3, 2003 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Beam officiated. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Arledge, 84, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003 in the Neshoba County General Hospital.
She was born in Edinburg and lived most of her life in Philadelphia. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. In her later years, she served as a nurse's aide at the Neshoba County General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elzey Joe Arledge, Sr. in 1981; a son, John Franklin Arledge; her parents, James Franklin Mooney and Bertha Mae Lovorn Mooney; and her stepfather, John Harold Roberson, who raised her.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Sue Arledge of Philadelphia; two sons, James Thomas Arledge of Philadelphia and Elzey "Joe" Arledge, Jr. of Woodbridge, Va.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lonnie Grace Dunn of Meridian and Littie Mae Williams of Greenville; and one brother, William Harold Roberson of Jackson.
Pallbearers were Billy McKnight, Harold Dunn, Billy Arledge, Ray Crocker, Larry Myers, Bobby Posey, Mike Tinsley and Key Seward.
