Son of Frank B. & Jane (Wilson) Arford. Listed as an unmarked grave based on information taken from "Cemeteries of Daviess County (Indiana). Vol. 2, p. 184." The information in "Cemeteries" book lists his age at 17 years. Ralph does not appear on the 1910 census lending support to the 1909 date for his death. Indiana Works Progress Administration, Indiana, Daviess County, Index to Death Records 1882-1920 lists his date of death as 16 Dec 1909. The death certificate lists Pleasant Hill Cemetery as the place for his burial and is my source for the dates of birth and death (1909). A diligent search of the cemetery (2004) did not reveal a marker for Ralph. Note: There is a family record notation that says he died of "dropsey at age 22" in 1914. There is no other record to support the 1914 date.
