The Arthur Archibald family came to the Innisfail District around 1889 from Scotland. He was a blacksmith and practiced his trade in New York state before coming to western Canada. He is especially remembered as an artist on the bagpipes and entertained neighbors, taking part in early street parades in Innisfail along with Frank Laing and George Kirkham.
