He was a truck driver for Paris Grocery and Kimball Grocery for 25 years. He drove for Sanders Texaco for 15 years and retired in 1982. Was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mary Gail Archer of Paris; 2 sons, Stan Archer of Rockwall and Donnis Archer of Paris; and 6 grandchildren.'
