Allen ‘Moe' Arant
1928-2004

Graveside service for Allen "Moe" Arant, 76, of Bridgeport, was to be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at Jim Ned Cemetery. The Rev. Donald Stone was to officiate.

Arant died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, in Dallas.

Born Jan. 13, 1928, in Brownwood to David and Iva (Goddard) Arant, he retired from LaFarge Industries in Chico. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Navy and a member of the Cates Street Baptist Church of Bridgeport.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Arant and a brother, David Arrant Jr.

He is survived by his wife of five years, Evelyn Rose (Kraatz) Arant; two daughters, Brenda Bynum and husband, Barry, and Shelia Woodworth and husband, Archie; a son, Mark Arant and wife, Diane; two step-sons, Roy Provence and wife, Sharon, and Travis Provence and wife, Carla; stepchildren, Linda, Randy, Cynthia and Donna; 14 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
