Amande (Mandy) Aragon, Our beloved daddy, lovable grandpa, and precious great grandpa left this world September 1, 2011 to re-unite in the Kingdom of Heaven with his loving wife Matilda, his son Mark Anthony and his granddaughter Melissa Noel. Also to greet him with open arms are his parents and siblings. He was the youngest son born to Abel and Francisca Aragon on Sept. 16, 1922 in Dispensas, New Mexico. He will be deeply missed by his daughters Theresa (Max) Apodaca Jr., Wilma (Richard) Marez, Elizabeth Westmoreland and Mary Aragon. He leaves many precious memories with his grandchildren Brian, Michelle, Mandy, Richie, Justin and great-grandchildren Alyssa, Cole & Chase. Daddy is also survived by his sister Lila Varela, sister-in-laws Elenore Aragon, Elvita Aragon, brother-in-law Richard Macias, numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. He proudly served in the US Army where he was awarded three bronze stars for his military service during World War II and D-Day. He was employed by the CF&I Corporation in the Rail Mill Department for 33 years. His family would like to thank the staff of Bruce McCandless State Veterans Home for the excellent care provided; a care provided with the utmost respect and dignity. Visitation, 4-7p.m. Tuesday, followed by Rosary Recitation at 7p.m., both at Imperial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Wed., St. Mary Church. Interment, Imperial.
