Juan, a native of Puerto de Luna and resident of Santa Rosa, passed away at his residence following an extended illness. Juan was predeceased by his father Fernando Aragon; two brothers Liberato and Vidal Aragon; his sister Erlinda Quintana; his brother-in-law Charlie Quintana; and his nephew Christopher Aragon.

Juan was survived by his wife Mary of the family home in Santa Rosa; his son Johnny Ray Aragon (Kandie Gutierrez) of Santa Rosa; his grandchildren: Carlos Anaya of Fort Collins, Colorado; Brooklyn Aragon of Santa Rosa and Jennifer Rolley of Las Cruces; his mother Carolina Moncayo Aragon of Santa Rosa; his brother Celso Aragon of Santa Rosa; and his sister-in-law, Celina Argon of Albuquerque.

Juan was reared and attended schools in Puerto de Luna. He married Mary Altamirano on November 11, 1950 in Santa Rosa. Juan worked for the Chevrolet Company in Santa Rosa for 15 years and as a custodian for Santa Rosa High School for 15 years. He volunteered his time as a foster grandfather for the Headstart program where he was called "Grandpo Juan" by all the headstart kids. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish and a lifelong member of El Sociedad de Nuestro Padre Jesus de Nazareno.

Rosary services on 13 Oct 2000 at St. Rose Church in Santa Rosa. Mass of Christian Burial was on 14 Oct, also at St. Rose Church. Burial followed at El Calvario Cemetery in Puerto de Luna. Pallbearers: Steve Chavez, Richard Aragon, Robert Quintana, Leroy Quintana, George Dodge and Felipe Sanchez.
