Bernice Mae Appler, 87, of Littlestown, died Tuesday, Nov, 11 in Penrose Hospital Colorado Springs, Col.
Born October 27, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Grace (Sterner) Dayhoff, and the wife of the late Grant E. Appler, who died in 1971.
She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran church in Littlestown for 80 years; Ladies Aide of St. Luke's, a Sunday school teacher, and past president of L.C.W.
Survivors include; two daughter, Judith Showvaker Creutzer of Perry Mall, Md., and M. Kay Fekula, of Colorado Springs, Col.; three brothers, Francis Dayhoff, Kenneth Dayhoff, and Robert Dayhoff Sr., all of Gettysburg; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Pre-deceased by two sons, Gene F. Appler and Richard G. Appler; one daugher, Sheila A. Wallace; one brother, Theron Dayhoff; one sister Alta Flickinger.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, Nov 15, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Littlestown, with Rev. Beth B. Folkemer officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown.
