She was married to Andrew Applegate on October 07, 1869. They were parents to Ann, Robert, Ralph and an infant that died at birth.

Annie was born in Greenock Scotland, 21 Jul 1849 and was given the name of her ancestor. Her family emigrated to America in 1856 and lived for awhile in Henderson Co., Ill. Annie married Andrew "Andy" Applegate in Madison Co., Ia., 7 Oct 1869 and they took up farming for a living. In 1897 they were living in Earlham, Ia., and in 1899 in Dexter. Their children were Anna Rachel, Robert Thomson, and Ralph Earl. Two other children died in infancy.
Annie died 30 Jan 1934 and was buried alongside her husband in Stringtown Cemetery.
