Angela Garcia Apodaca, 61, long time resident of Las Cruces entered eternal life Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born October 01, 1947 in Durango, Mexico to Severo Arsola and Maria Concepcion Romero.

Mrs. Apodaca was employed at Discovery Child Development Centers as a care taker, and was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle.

Survivors include her husband, Richard B. Apodaca of the family home, and their son, Ricky Apodaca and wife, Vicky of El Paso, Texas; her mother, Maria Concepcion Romero of California; two brothers, Jaime Garcia and wife, Julie of California and Jose C. Garcia of Las Cruces; three sisters, Mary Romero and Vicky Massey both of California and Helen Pando and husband, Eddie of Las Cruces. Other survivors include three grandchildren, Xavier Apodaca, Julian and Angel Fileto. She was preceded in death by her father, Severo Arsola and brother, George Romero.

Visitation for Mrs. Apodaca will begin at 6 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2009 in the Apostolic Tabernacle, 3001 Missouri Avenue, where the evening service is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, September 17, 2009 in the same church with Pastor Jimmie Arellano, officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow in Masonic Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest.

Serving as casket bearers will be Ralph A. Padilla, Gary Pando, Isaac Apodaca, Willie Apodaca, Rudy Padilla and Dennis Garcia.
