Albert Lorenzo Apodaca, 16, a resident of Salanion Estates near Beleri, entered eternal life Friday, Feb. 6, at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque. He was born Sept. 9, 1981, in Silver City and was a student at Belen High School. Calling hours were held from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday at Baca's Funeral Chapels. The prayer vigil was held at 7:30 Tuesday evening at Holy Family Catholic Church in Hanover with Father Dan Porter officiating. The funeral liturgy was to be celebrated this morning at 10 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Porter officiating. Burial followed at Hanover Cemetery, where he was laid to rest. Survivors include his mother, Lorenz Delso of Salamon Estates; a brother, Joseph Apodaca of Salamon Estates; a sister, Lizá Apodaca of Salamon Estates; a sister, Debbie Taylor, and her husband, Don, of Albuquerque; and a sister. Frances Detao, and her husband, Robert Christian, of Silver City. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews. Yvonne, Jennifer, Dennis Jr. and Lorenzo Lopez, Alonzo and Manuel Gonzales, and Cassandra Christian. He was preceded in death by his father, Lorenzo Apodaca. Casket bearers were Luis Reza, Willie Romero, Joseph Apodaca, Ruben Apodaca, Donaciano Aragon and Ronnie Villegas. Honorary bearers were his friends and relatives. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels, U.S. ISO East at Delk Drive. Phone 388-2334.
