Rosary for Benjamin "Ben" Apodaca, 90, of Grants will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 7:30 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Funeral Mass will be held in Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial with Full Military Honors by the VFW Lodge 3221 will be held at the Grants Memorial Park. Father Joseph will officiate.

Ben was born on June 22, 1924 in San Mateo to Salvador and Elfedes Armijo Apodaca. He passed away on July 5, 2014 at his home in Grants.

Ben was a Veteran of the US Army end Infantry Division during World War II. He was a life member of the disabled American Veterans. He retired from the New Mexico State Highway Department. Ben was always willing to take everyone under his wing. He was a dad and grandpa figure to many others other than his own family.

He is survived by his lovinf Wife of 53 years: Priscilla Valerio Apodaca of Grants; Sons: Phillip Apodaca of Milan, Bobby Apodaca and companion Amy Rael of Grants; Daughter: Tina Apodaca and companion Michael Rael of Milan; Grandchildren, Amy Martinez of Albuquerque, Clarissa Martinez of Bernalillo, Benjamin Apodaca of Grants and Boby Apodaca Jr. of Grants; Great-Granddaughters: Neticia and Tiffany of Albuquerque; Brothers: Felix Apodaca and wife Adelina of Milan and Melquides Apodaca of Glendale, Arizona; Sisters: Gladys Jaramillo of Grants, Rafelita Reyes and husband Adam of San Rafael; Brother-in-laws: Wolfred Sanchez of Milan and Serafin Jaramillo of Grants and numerous nephews and nieces.

He is preceded on death by his son: Patrick Apodaca; Parents: Salvador and Elfedes Armijo Apodaca; Brother: Jesus Apodaca; Sisters: Teodora Sanchez and Elviria Jaramillo.

Pallbearers will be: Gilbert Lopez, Sammy Jaramillo, George Sanchez, Elmer Apodaca, Mike Apodaca and Michael Rael.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
