HARLINGEN, TX.—
Rosa Valencia Anzaldua of Harlingen, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at her home.
She was born on October 3, 1937 in Harlingen, Texas and was the daughter of the late Jose & Leonor Valencia. She was the third oldest of nine children.
Rosa worked for many years at Valley Baptist Medical Center as a nurse's aide, and was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her patients. She was an active an active member of Iglesia de Nazareno of San Benito, where she loved to teach Bible school and also served as a boardmember.
Rosa was a loving person to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.
Rosa is survived by her brothers & sisters, Teofilo Valencia (Josephine) of Harlingen, Jose Angel Valencia (Trinidad) of Angleton, Natividad "Tivie" Valencia (Beatrice) of Harlingen,
Virginia V. Martinez (Jose) of Kokomo, IN, Francisco Valencia (Teresa) of Kokomo, IN, Ricardo Valencia of Harlingen, Delfina V. Gordon (Kenneth) of San Antonio, Benito Valencia (Sylvia) of San Antonio, and numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held today, June 4, 2011 from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. with a prayer service at 7 P.M. at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit led by Pastor Ted Flores. Visitation will continue on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Trinity Funeral Chapel from 8 A.M. to 11 A.M.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 1 P.M. at Iglesia de Nazareno located on 490 Reagan Street San Benito, TX 78586 with interment to follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home 1002 East Harrison Avenue Harlingen, Texas 78550 (956)364-2444.
