Johnny was born in Clifton, Texas, to the late Charlie and Alice Lena Anz. He attended school at Pleasant Hill and Womack. Johnny married Gladys Prescher on Sept. 19, 1959. He worked at Wilsons' Building Materials, then did carpentry for R.Q. Allen. He also worked for the Cattle Company and Livestock Commission until he retired in 1996. His hobbies included gardening, shelling pecans, fishing, reading Westerns, and watching rodeos.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Franklin Anz, Delbert Anz, and Harold Anz; and a sister, Nora Dell Allen.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Anz; daughters, Barbara Malish and husband, Eddie, Pam Harvey and husband, Robin, Rhonda Evans and husband, Bobby, and Crissy Billman and husband, Michael; seven grandchildren; brother, Clarence Anz; sisters, Rosa Lee Dahl and Dorothy Humphries; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
