Alan Anthony completed his journey through life after losing a courageous battle against cancer at the age of 48 on Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at the Community Hospice of Texas, James L. West Center in Fort Worth, Texas. He was lovingly surrounded by his wife, Cathy Anthony, his mother, Susan Donna Anthony, his aunt, Helen H. Richardson, and father-in-law, Troy Shaw. Eventually, he settled in North Richland Hills, TX, where he worked for more than twenty years with the Dallas-Forth Worth Airport, Airport Board. Alan was an avid literature reader, a writer of many short stories, a Civil War history buff, a collector of Flow Blue china, and with great love, he cared for many beautiful rose bushes and a water fountain in his back yard. Alan will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Howe, Great Bend, KS, his paternal grandparents, Dorothy Henrietta Anthony, Independence, MO, and Arley H. Anthony, Bartlesville, OK, and one uncle, William "Bill" Howe of Nelson, MO.
