Graveside services for Floyd Thomas Ansley will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Restland Cemetery, Boswell, OK with Wiley Copeland officiating. Floyd passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 in Antlers, Oklahoma, at the age of 83.
Floyd Thomas Ansley was born October 7, 1927 in Randlett, Oklahoma, to James Thomas and Ruth Bell (Smith) Ansley. He had lived in this area all of his life and was a member of the Church of Christ in Boswell, OK and Hugo, OK. He served his country in the United States Navy, on the ship Saratoga U.S.S. during WWII from 1944 to 1946. He married Betty Zane Walker on September 16, 1948 in Denison, TX. Floyd worked and retired from the Kiamichi Railroad. Aftering retiring, he owned and operated a Pulpwood business in Antlers, OK. He also was a rancher in Boswell, where he lived. He was preceded in death by his parents and five sisters.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Betty of the home; son, Tom Ansley and wife Debbie of Boswell, OK; grandson, Tom Morgan Ansley and wife, Elaine of Boswell, OK; granddaughter, Patricia Ansley of Boswell, OK; great-grandson, Morgan Ansley of Boswell, OK.
