Mr. Ansari is survived by his wife, Shahnaz of 48 years; 4 sons, Haroon (Ophelia), Amir (Carla), Rashid (Saima), and Nadeem; 5 grand children, NaRyhan, Nylah, Nataliah, Rohan and Anissa; 2 sisters, Kishwar Kazi of Raleigh, NC, Moeena Baig of Multan, Pakistan; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Mr. Ansari was a civil engineer and he traveled the world building bridges. He retired from the state of Michigan as a civil engineer. He moved to Rock Hill, SC in 2005 where he resided upon his death.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and known to many as "Abbu." Imtiaz will be dearly missed and will be laid to rest at his hometown of 40 years, in Lansing, MI.
Funeral services were held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Islamic Center of East Lansing, MI.
