Bertha B. Annis, age 83 passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in Sebring, Florida. She was born in Bemus Point, New York on July 1, 1928 to Martin and Anna (Stanton) Bloss. Mrs. Annis was a homemaker, member of Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1976 coming from New York State. She is survived by her daughters-Doris Ann Miller (Paul) of Avon Park, Florida, Ellen Marie Kane (Niel Magro) of Albany, New York; son-Hubert Victor Brown (Denise) of Frostproof, Florida; step-son-Rowland Annis (Bobby) of Deerborn Heights, Michigan; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Annis was preceded in death by her husband-Percy Annis, her parents, a sister-Helen Whitehill and a great granddaughter-Elizabeth Rose Miller. A memorial service will be held Thursday, MAY 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church with Rev. George Hall officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church Building Fund or Hope for His Children International, 2600 North Highlands Boulevard, Avon Park, Florida 33825. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home – Avon Park.
