John was a son of Joans S. and Alice (Fenstermacher) Angstadt. He served in the Army in WW2 as a private in a Medical Detachment.
At the time of his death, John was employed at the Hillcrest Country Club in Santa Monica.
John was survived by his father, two brothers, Earl, of Reading and Ira, of Elmsford, NY; and three sisters, May, wife of Warren F. Davis, Wernersville; Elba, wife of Harry Greim, Bristol, and Ethel, wife of Edgar Bright, Wernersville.
