Mrs. Mary Guinette Cofer Angle, age 98, of 32 Ash Street, Rome, GA, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at a local health care facility.

Mrs. Angle was born on July 16, 1913 in the Coosa area, daughter of the late William Alfonzo Cofer and Lois Crumbly Cofer. She was a charter member of the St. Luke United Methodist Church in Celanese and a member of the community for over seventy years. Mrs. Angle was a poll manager for elections in the Riverside district for thrity-five years and a volunteer for the Boy Scouts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Carlton Angle, Sr. to whom she was married for sixty-one years, in 1994, and by a sister, Louise Scott. Mrs. Angle is remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Angle is survived by a son, Vance Carlton Angle, Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Aragon; grandchildren, Vance C. Angle III and wife DeAnna, of Acworth, Gregory Angle, of Acworth, and Christopher Angle and wife, Tabitha of Rome; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Mrs. Angle were conducted at East View Cemetery on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Bill Edwards officiating.

Daniel's Funeral Home has charge of funeral arrangements.
