The first Pioneer Days celebration was held August 17, 1956, honoring Englewood’s early settlers who, through suffering many hardships, were tenacious in fulfilling their dreams of a new life in the new land. Attending this celebration were the guests and honor: Grace Biorseth Platt, Mr. & Mrs. Steve Chadwick, Isabelle Johanson Hanlon, Edith Ainger Lampp, Josh Whidden, Phillip Anderson and Wilbur Lampp.
