Vincent "Jim" Angeloni, 85, of Malvern, died Saturday, December 30, 2006, at Great Trail Care Center following a long illness. Jim was born in Aielli, Italy, June 20, 1921, the son of the late Frank and Concettina (DelPinto) Angeloni.
He worked as a machinist at Summitville Tile and Metropolitan Brick and was a member of st. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Malvern, OH.
He served in the U.S. Army in World War II in the 593rd Engineer Boat and Shore Regiment in the South Pacific.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie Angeloni; sons, Tim (Pauline) Angeloni of Louisville, Mark (Deanna) Angeloni of Malvern, Doug (Sherry) Angeloni of Canton; granddaughters, Missy (Andy) Miller of Louisville, Thea Angeloni of Chicago, IL, Audrey Angeloni of Canton; grandsons, Brian Angeloni of Louisville, Derek Angeloni of Portage Lakes, Zach Angeloni of Canton; brother, Oldridge Angeloni of Malvern; and two great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Malvern, OH, at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2007, with Fr. Victor Cinson officiating. Calling hours will be held Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at St. Francis Xaview Catholic Church. A wake service will be held at 8:45. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Building Fund, 125 Carrollton St., Malvern, OH 44644.
