Margaret Larson Angel

Margaret Larson Angel, age 91, of Knoxville, went to be with her Lord on April 11 at Little Creek Nursing Home.

Her loving family rejoice in a life well lived and in her reunion with her husband of 58 years, Charlie, who pre-deceased her in 2001. Margaret was a cherished member of the Farragut community. She was a long-time member of Concord Presbyterian Church and more recently a member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. She was active in the Knoxville Presbytery Council of Women of the Church.

Margaret was a graduate of Knoxville High School and the University of Tennessee. She was a founding member of the Farragut Garden Club, member and former president of the Farragut AARP, and she and Charlie were long-time members of Friendship Force. Margaret was a local artist and author, publishing the book "Not So Long Ago in the Concord/Farragut Area", which included many of her sketches and paintings.

Besides her husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Bertram M. Larson and Lucile Johnson Larson and her sister, Frances Abel.

Margaret is survived by her children, Dick Angel and wife, Cathy of Knoxville, John Angel and wife, Roma of Banner Elk, North Carolina and Pat Angel of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Catherine Mason and husband Matt, Emily Henry and husband Ben, David Angel, Rebekah Angel, and Eleanor Angel; four great-grandchildren, Jack and Lucy Mason and Sam and Charlie Henry. She also leaves behind brothers, Bert Larson and Rev. Robert Larson and wife Mary, sister, Alice Jo Schroeder and husband Rev. Charles, and brother-in-law Mac Abel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 14, at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church Chapel with Rev. Clay Harrington officiating, following a private family graveside service at Highland Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Orange Grove Center, 615 Derby Street, Chattanooga, TN 37404, which has provided loving care for Pat Angel for years.
