James F. "Jim" Andrews, 66, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday Feb. 6, 2008, at his home. Born Sept. 26, 1941, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Barney and Irma (Stellhorn) Andrews.
He was an Air Force veteran and retired from Navistar after 30 years of service, working at both the Fort Wayne and Springfield, Ohio plants. He was a member of American Legion Post 241, Waynedale and member of Fort Wayne Corvette Club.
He is survived by his mother, Irma; wife, Catherine Andrews; children, Elizabeth (Greg) Cherney, Joseph Andrews and Karen Andrews; 11 grandchildren; one great-grand child; two brothers, Jerry (Alice) Andrews and Byron (Edie) Andrews; along with a host of other family and friends.
Service is 10 a.m. Monday at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, with prayers at 9:45 a.m. at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Rosary service at 7 p.m.
Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
